The streaming platform where your subscription goes directly to the artists you listen to.
Not a global pool. Not viral algorithms. Just your music, directly supporting real artists.
Here's how mainstream streaming works:
You could listen to the same artist 1,000 times. They still get only fractions of a penny per stream — same as everyone else.
Your subscription doesn't support YOUR artists.
It supports whoever has the most streams globally.
Local music scenes are dying because of this.
We built the alternative.
Your $15.99/month is YOUR pool. It goes where YOU listen.
Listen to 3 artists this month? They split your $11.19.
Spend half your time on one artist? They get $5.60 from you.
Simple math. Direct support. No middleman algorithm.
We believe music is better when it's rooted in community. When artists can make a living from 500 dedicated fans instead of chasing 5 million passive streams. When listeners discover music through local shows and real community interaction, not algorithmic playlists. When your subscription actually keeps real music alive.
500 true fans who show up beats 5 million streams from strangers.
Discovery starts local. Artists playing live in your community surface first.
Stream any artist on the platform, anywhere. Discovery is local. Your library is global.
No AI-generated music. Every artist verified. Real humans making real art.
Our model makes it possible for working musicians to actually make a living.
$15.99/month. Cancel anytime.
Find artists from your community (or anywhere). Stream anyone.
They get paid based on YOUR listening.
Discovery is local. Access is global. Support is direct.
No ads. No algorithms. No AI. Just humans.
Artists from your community surface first. Discover music rooted in real places, not algorithmic playlists. Then stream anyone on the platform.
Every artist shows upcoming shows. Discover someone today, see them live this weekend. Music is better in person.
Discussion boards. Show check-ins. Local charts. This isn't passive listening—it's community. You're keeping your community's scene alive.
See exactly which artists you supported and how much they earned from your listening. Finally.
Or listen free with ads. Cancel anytime.
100% non-exclusive — keep your music on Spotify, Apple, DistroKid, Symphonic, anywhere you already are. HART is additive, not a takeover.
Industry average: 1,000 streams ≈ $3. Human Arts: 1,000 streams from 20 super fans ≈ $150+. Depth beats virality. Finally.
Our listeners want live music. They discover you here, then come to your shows. Real fans, not background listeners.
Artists who perform in their community (or even touring elsewhere) get boosted in relevant discovery. We reward showing up.
No AI-generated music on the platform. No competing with bots. Your craft matters here.
10% of monthly platform profit splits among vested artists by Growth Points. You earn points by referring listeners (up to 600 per retained subscriber), referring artists (HART pays you a +10% mentor bonus on top of theirs, forever), and listener attribution. Four rank-based tiers reward joining early — permanently.

SCENARIO:
Artist has 200 fans who each listen 10 hours/month
| Metric | INDUSTRY AVG | HUMAN ARTS |
|---|---|---|
| Model | Global pool | User-centric |
| Per-stream rate | $0.003 | N/A |
| Monthly income | $75 | $675 |
| Annual income | $900 | $8,100 |
On most platforms, your streams compete with every song on Earth.
On Human Arts, your fans' subscriptions go to YOU.
That's the difference between $900/year and $8,100/year.
That's the difference between a hobby and a living.
Yes. You can stream any artist on Human Arts. Discovery surfaces artists from your community first, but your library includes everyone on the platform. Local discovery. Global access.
Most platforms pool all subscription money globally, then divide it by total streams. The biggest artists take most of it. Your favorite local artist gets fractions of a penny. Human Arts keeps YOUR money with YOUR artists. We split your subscription only among artists you actually play. Same listening behavior. 5-10x more money to artists you love.
Bandcamp is for buying music. Human Arts is for streaming. On Bandcamp, you pay per album. On Human Arts, you pay $15.99/month and stream unlimited—but your money only goes to artists you actually listen to. Streaming convenience. Direct support.
Because we actually pay artists. We give 70% to artists. Your extra $4/month means artists earn 5-10x more. That's the whole point.
No. We focus on independent, human-made music. If you want top-40 chart artists, the mainstream platforms have that covered. If you want to discover great artists and actually support them, that's what we're for. Use Human Arts when you want your money to matter.
Your local music scene—could be a metro area, region, or state depending on where you are. When you sign up, you choose your home community. Artists active there (especially those playing live) get boosted in your discovery. Small town? We've got you. Communities aren't just big cities.
No AI-generated music. Every artist is verified and certifies that they are not using AI to produce the actual music. Vocals, lyrics, melodies, samples, instrumentation, production—all created or programmed by humans. VSTs and sampling are fine. "AI" mixing/mastering tools are fine. AI creating the music is not.
Monthly. Direct deposit via Stripe. We calculate how much of each listener's subscription went to each artist based on listening time. Payouts hit by the 15th of each month. Artists see exactly who listened and how earnings were calculated. Complete transparency.
No — HART is 100% non-exclusive. Keep your music on every platform you're already on. HART is a separate, additive channel: artists upload their masters directly to us and get paid by us (70% user-centric, monthly via Stripe). Your DistroKid / TuneCore / Symphonic / CDBaby relationship is unaffected — they handle the major DSPs, we handle HART. The only requirement is that you own or control your masters and have the right to distribute, which is true for almost every modern indie deal. If you're unsure, give your distributor contract a quick skim for any "exclusive masters" or "exclusive streaming" language — uncommon outside of major-label deals.
Artists who help grow Human Arts earn points toward a share of platform profits — 10% of monthly profit goes into a pool split among vested artists. Four rank-based cohorts make joining early really matter: Founders (first 100 approved artists) get a permanent 1.5× multiplier on all their points, Charters (artists #101–500) get 1.2×, Pioneers (#501–1000) get 1.1×, and Standard (#1001+) get 1.0×. On top of that, every artist gets a tenure multiplier that ramps to 1.20× by year 1, 1.40× by year 5, capped at 2.0×. Multipliers stack — a Founder at year 5 earns at 2.10× their raw points, vs 1.40× for someone joining later. Points come from referring listeners (up to 600 per retained subscriber), referring artists (HART awards you a +10% mentor bonus on top of theirs, forever — their points aren't reduced), and listener attribution. Vesting kicks in after 24 months + 10 retained subscribers.
They're permanent rank-based tiers assigned in approval order. Founders are the first 100 approved artists — they get a permanent 1.5× multiplier on all Growth Points, forever. Charters are artists #101–500 — they get 1.2×. Pioneers are #501–1000 — they get 1.1×. Once all three cohorts fill, every new artist is Standard with no cohort multiplier (just the tenure curve). Once you're assigned, you keep that designation as long as you're on Human Arts. Spots fill in approval order, so the only way to be a Founder is to apply before the first 100 spots are taken.
Yes — and this is where Human Arts works differently than most platforms. Free listeners watch rewarded video ads to earn credits, and each play deducts a credit that gets routed back to the artist played. 70% of HART's ad revenue flows to the artists each listener actually plays. The math is brutal on purpose: a full month of active ad-watching contributes pennies, while a $15.99 subscriber contributes $11.19/month. We make the gap visible so you can decide what you can afford.
Join your HOME community—where you're based. When you add shows in other communities, you automatically get a discovery boost in those places too. Playing a show in Austin next month? Austin listeners will see you surface in their discovery feed. You don't need to pick one community. Your music is available everywhere. But your home base and your tour stops all give you visibility where it matters.
Discovery boost happens in THREE ways: 1. HOME COMMUNITY: Where you're based (permanent boost) 2. UPCOMING SHOWS: Any community where you have a show listed in the next 60 days 3. PAST SHOWS: Communities where you've played in the last 90 days. A touring artist playing 20 cities gets discovery visibility in all 20 communities. The more you tour, the more places discover you.
That's fine. Pick the community you identify with most, or where you have the strongest existing fanbase. Your show listings matter more than your home community anyway. If you're playing 30 shows across the country, you'll get discovery boosts in 30 communities. Road warriors thrive here.
Yes. Any listener can stream any artist on the platform. Community affects DISCOVERY (who surfaces first), not ACCESS (who you can listen to). A fan in New York can absolutely stream a Colorado artist. Your money still goes directly to that artist based on your listening.
